South of Point Arkwright is the un-patrolled
Yaroomba beach. Yaroomba beach is a secluded sunbathing beach
protected from the summer north winds by Point Arkwright.
Swimming is not recommended, though during winter when the
sea is flat and the waters crystal clear snorkelling or diving
can be undertaken around the rocks of Point Arkwright. Point
Arkwright offers a great view of the coast, you can see all
the way to Point Cartwright to the south on a clear day.

lookout. SURFING:Yaroomba
beach breaks are a powerful and short with a quality peaky bowl
sections formed by the reefs just off the beach. On a high tide
surf the reefs just off the shore for left and right peaks.
Take care the wave can be unpredictable and the bottom is hard
and sharp. FISHING:Excellent
fishing during the winter months. Huge Jew fish can be caught
off the beach and from the rocks with a pilchard or mullet strip
on gang hooks. Good catches of Bream, Dart and Flathead taken
on the beach all year round. WALKING:A
dirt track runs 1km along the top of Point Arkwright with an
excellent lookout along the way. Stick to the track and use
the lookouts provided as a superb viewing and photo opportunity.
