FEATURES:Dog
on leash, covered picnic areas, BBQ’s, toilets and parking.
SURFING:Pleasant
quality beach breaks in beautiful clear glassy water. Sunshine
beach on small swell often produces the most rideable wave of
the entire coast. Surf the northern pocket during northeast
winds.
FISHING:Care
should be taken if fishing of the rocks because freak waves
are common. Cast long into the deep water for a variety of species.
Fish the beach for dart, bream and flathead all year round.
WALKING:It
is possible to walk from north Sunshine Beach to Alexandria
Bay and Noosa through any number of National Park tracks. The
tracks in places are very sandy and rocky creating a tough hike
in any ones books. Be prepared for a long walk and take lots
of water and food. There is no access to water until you reach
Noosa on the other side of the National Park. Alexandria Bay
has no water access. |
