FEATURES:Peregian
Park. Dog on leash, telephones, toilets, showers, parking, covered
BBQ and Picnic areas, covered playground, basketball half court
are available for public use.
SURFING:Nice
uncrowded beach breaks, scout for a good bank and paddle out
for exciting surf. Pitta Street a heavy wave breaking over a
rock outcrop is situated to the south. The beach breaks can
hold a fair bit of swell, know your limits and enjoy safe surfing.
FISHING:Find
a good gutter for catches of Bream, dart, whiting, flathead,
taylor and jew all year round. To achieve best results fish
with a slight westerly wind at your back.
WALKING:Walk
south or north along the untouched beach. Peregian Beach Environmental
Park allows limited access points so very few faces will be
seen along your walk. Low tide is the best time to walk as the
sand will be harder underfoot. Very little protection from the
elements exists on the open beach so take plenty of water and
sun protection with you. |
