SURFING:If the banks are right, North shore offers some quality peaky left and rights. Stay away from the river mouth, the current and rips are far to unpredictable. This spot is best surfed by the experienced, novice surfers should stick to the more populated beaches.
FISHING:Excellent fishing opportunities. All river and beach species can be caught around this area. Generally the winter brings best results. The keen fisherman should take the river track (south from the car park), once at the river walk along the bank until a perfect hole is found. Cast and relax. It is possible to walk following the river to the mouth of Maroochydore river and than along the beach and back to the car park through the north track.
WALKING:The south track leads to the river. The north track leads to the beach. Soft sand in some sections can make for a tough walk. There is a cement walkway from North Shore to Mudjimba.
