Noosa Main Beach, patrolled by Noosa Surf Lifesaving Club is popular with visitors all year round. Waves rarely over a metre in height and a flat sandy ocean bottom provide a safe opportunity for newcomers to familiarise themselves with the ocean. The warm clear waters provide a refreshing rest stop before and after the long hike through Noosa National Park.
