Park playgrounds, toilets, outside shower, telephone, covered
over and open picnic and BBQ areas, dog on leash at all times.
SURFING:Private
secluded banks are every surfer's dream. A swell from any direction
with light winds on a good bank with no crowds could be hard
to turn up.
FISHING:During
summer you will catch Flathead, Dart and Bream. During winter
look for the groups of Taylor fisherman in the gutters of the
evening landing good results.
WALKING:Peaceful
walk in either direction, walk during a low tide in the hard
sand close to the waters edge. A 3.5 km walk or drive west from
Marcoola beach will find you at the base of Coolum Mountain.
The walk to the top of Coolum Mountain is only for the experienced
hiker and will take approximately 1 hour. The view from Coolum
Mountain is absolutely magnificent in all directions. |
