FEATURES:A
tidal saltwater swimming pool is situated at Kings beach and
is ideal to escape the chlorine from public pools. Further up
the beach towards the point there is a popular spot to snorkel.
Access from the rocks can be tricky but on a calm day is ideal
for most. Entrances include Dingle Ave, 1st entrance with Seats
and Telephone, Merrima Ave 2nd entrance, Levuka Ave 3rd entrance
with Toilets, Showers, Playground, Metropolitan SLSA Club and
a Corner store. The parks are listed below. CENTAUR PARK: BBQ’s,
Picnic area, Snorkelling. HEADLAND: BBQ’s, Picnic area.
SURFING:Kings
beach needs a very large SE swell with a light north wind, a
rare occurrence, but worth the wait. Kings beach offers nice
peaky short rides on a large northeast swell.
FISHING:Not
usually undertaken due to the crowds. A line can provide good
results off the rocks especially at night.
WALKING:Walk
up the hill to the north for great views of the ocean activity
and coastline. |
