SURFING:Coolum
offers a nice peaky beach break and if the banks are right,
long rides left and right are possible. The headland does not
possess the classic point waves like other headlands along the
sunshine coast but wave quality can still be exceptional. The
crowds are usually at a reasonable level compared with the more
favoured points.
FISHING:Fish
from the beach during late evening and Night for Jew Fish, Tailor,
Bream and Dart. Excellent catches of Bream around the Headland
and in the bay especially during winter. The beach is generally
over crowded with people during the summer and holiday seasons
for any serious fishing activity, the bay south is the only
opportunity, though be prepared to lose some tackle.
WALKING:A
nice walk with great views up and over Point Perry to the south.
Walk along the esplanade and browse the shops or walk north
to Lions Park. |
