FEATURES:At the south end of the beach you will find BBQ's, sheltered picnic areas and toilets or take the walk up the hill to Point Danger and enjoy the brilliant views in all directions from Point Danger viewing platform which offers full wheel chair access. You can park at the top of the hill right at the tower.
SURFING:When everywhere else on the Gold Coast is to small, Duranbah is the place to head. Duranbah has an uncanny ability to offer a good powerful wave even on the smallest swell. When the swell is up the area is best for the experienced surfer.
FISHING:For excellent fishing all year round try the beach at dawn or dusk or fish the tweed bar off the rock wall for quality catches of all species. The current can be strong when fishing in the river so pack a good assortment of bait and tackle.
WALKING:Take a stroll along the tweed river or out the rock wall to the navigational tower.
