An open beach, further
most south of the Gold Coast, Duranbah is
popular with the surfers due to its ability
to pick up the smallest swell and turn it
into a powerful wave. The beach can have
rips due to the shifting sands and numerous
gutters so remember to always swim between
the flags. There is limited parking especially
when the surf is on and surfers have occupied
all the parks close to the beach, its best
to park along the Tweed River and walk to
the beach.
